MAX performed the second of their monthly concert series on Saturday. Themed on a selection of the group’s most popular and rarely performed Eurobeat hits. The night started with an opening movie of the four members drinking together dressed in kimonos. They entered the stage wearing the kimonos before taking them off to reveal glittery golden costumes underneath. The first song of the night was “LOVE LOVE FIRE” from their massive debut album, “MAXIMUM.” Highlights of the night includes an extremely rare performance of “Kiss me Kiss me, Baby” which the group has not performed since its initial release in 1995. They were joined by a troupe of child dancers for the song as well as a performance of “TORA TORA TORA.” They also performed a new song, “Cat’s Eye” a cover of the theme song to the popular anime of the same name originally by ANRI. During the encore, Nana, Mina and Reina surprised Lina with a little birthday celebration as her 33rd birthday was the day prior. The theme for April’s event will be J-pop Night.
