MAX had recorded an appearance on SMAPxSMAP and it was set to air in late April, but it was cancelled after SMAP member Tsuyoshi Kusanagi was arrested for public indecency. During this week’s CDTV, they unveiled a ranking for best female groups. MAX came in third following sister group SPEED and Morning Musume and beating out hot girl group of the moment Perfume.
